Sanjeev is a fourth-year medical student at Drexel University, currently dedicating a research year to further his academic and professional growth. His passion for Latinos in Neurosurgery stems from his own experiences of navigating spaces without a strong sense of community or belonging. He understands the transformative power of representation and the importance of highlighting the diversity of individuals achieving extraordinary milestones.

With Latinos being significantly underrepresented in healthcare—and even more so in fields like neurosurgery—Sanjeev is deeply committed to amplifying their voices and celebrating their successes. He believes that fostering a sense of community and showcasing these achievements are essential to inspiring future generations and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to thrive in medicine.

Sanjeev is extremely passionate about research and has dedicated much of his work to understanding and addressing barriers to diversity in medicine and neurosurgery. His research focuses on the healthcare access challenges faced by Latino populations, including language and cultural barriers. Through his efforts, he hopes to bridge these gaps and improve healthcare for Latinos while also inspiring more Latinos to pursue careers in medicine and neurosurgery.
